500gms squid cleaned and cut in thin rounds
Onion 2cups (chopped)
Garlic 1tbsp (chopped fine)
Ginger 1tbsp (chopped fine)
Pepper powder 2 1/2 tsp or as per your requirement
Tomato sauce 1tbsp
Soya sauce 2tsp
Corn flour 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Coconut oil 2tbsp


Cook squids in little water and salt in a cooker until 5 whistles. In a kadai heat 1tbsp oil and fry the cooked squids till light brown. Keep aside

In the same kadai heat the remaining oil, put in the chopped ginger and garlic fry for 2 minutes, and then put chopped onions and fry till soft.

Take 1 1/2 cups of the squid cooked water, soya sauce, tomato sauce, pepper, salt and a pinch of sugar, cook for a minute.

Adding the fried squids and 2 twigs of curry leaves let it cook for a minute, then add the corn flour mixed in little water to thicken the gravy till dry, sprinkle fresh ground pepper on top for good aroma.
